My o...A very nice article which I enjoyed reading . My only disagreement is with the view that the Roman Catholic Church was a good church in England prior to break with Rome. There is ample evidence that it was a very corrupt and cruel church as a whole and that the Reformation progressively introduced the Church of England which was purer. The tragedy was that the desire by some educated people to rid themselves of everything Popeish,led to the destruction of much beautiful art and architecture.
